Medsien is a venture-backed healthcare SaaS company experiencing rapid growth and looking to expand our team. We are looking for a talented UI/UX RESEARCHER AND DESIGNER with a strong background in both user research and interface design, with a passion for data-driven and user-centric design. The ideal candidate should have a strong design process knowledge and be able to effectively validate their designs through user testing and other methods.S/he will be responsible for conducting user research, analyzing data, and using that information to inform and validate their creative process to continually improve the design of our web and mobile products.
We expect you to have a portfolio that showcases your understanding of user research, data-driven design, and effective design decisions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research through surveys, focus groups, and other methods to gather insights into user needs and behaviors
- Analyze data to identify patterns and trends that inform design decisions
- Use data and user research to inform the design of user interfaces, ensuring that designs are both user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to ensure that designs meet the needs of both users and the business
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for product designs
- Test and validate designs through user testing and other methods
- Continuously monitor and improve the design of our products based on user feedback and usage data
- Provides recommendations for additional data and telemetry to collect to better understand user behavior, and drive future experimentation
Qualifications / Desired Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a UI/UX researcher and designer
- Strong background in both user research and interface design
- Interest in the full product life cycle from low fidelity wireframe to implementation and analytics
- Experience working on an agile team and familiarity with agile methodologies in a product driven organization
- Experience conducting user research, analyzing data, and using that information to inform design decisions
- Strong knowledge of UX best practices
- Good Understanding of visual design principles
- Experience with UX for web and mobile applications
- Strong soft skills (e.g. active listening, organization, planning, clear communication, not being afraid to disrupt things that need to be disrupted)
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar
- Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3 JavaScript
- Passion for creating intuitive and user-centered designs
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, Math, CS, Design or a degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Creative and driven who can navigate through ambiguity and a desire to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Excellent verbal and written communications, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- A naturally curious person who is open to new approaches/ ideas and eager to learn and stretch his/her boundaries
- Perfect English skills; both written and oral
